Bible Study

I have been very blessed to be a part of a weekly women's bible study at the Baptist Church for the past couple of months. We just finished a study on David by Beth Moore, Priscilla Shirer and Kay Arthur and today was our first day of study on the book of Esther with Beth Moore. I have never been a part of a women's bible study before, I know...shocker...since I have been a pastor's wife for almost eleven years now. We never had one at our former church and this may sound strange, but I have always been a little afraid of joining one at another church, something about meeting new people. Hahaha. Good thing God doesn't call the equipped, He equips the called! Praise Jesus!

So, I have started talking to a few ladies at our church about starting a bible study because I figure there are others like me out there in my church family. I have no idea how it's going to work but God has a plan and I am just saying, YES!

Hi Kelly, I read your comment on "Life in the Parsonage" and I am also "the new pastor's wife" in a church where everyone knows everyone! It has been a little difficult but I know God will provide the support group that I need. It's good to read your blog and know we are walking down the same path with our husbands in the ministry! Feel free to stop by anytime and visit!!

I have always wanted to read a book by Beth Moore. I've heard so much about her books and I've heard her speak, but I've never went out and purchased one of her books. I think it's time!!

Glad you have found a good group of ladies to have a Bible study with, and it's great that you are starting one in your church. We have small groups at our church, but no real "women's" group and I have missed that. At our other church we didn't have a women's Bible study either, but I did like you did and found one at another church. And it was great and I really miss going to it and being around those women. I guess I need to get brave and see about starting one in our church...we'll see?! Hope yours goes good!!
