Maria Chapman

I was reading Mary Beth Chapman's blog this morning as today is the one year anniversary of the terrible accident that took little Maria's life. There have definitely been unbelievably miserable days in this last year and there will be more in the future for the Chapman family but I was so blessed to read how God has been healing and using them all during this time. Here is the link to her blog, http://chapmanchannel.typepad.com/marybeth/ and I am sure you will be blessed too!

An Anteater???

Ian just asked if we could have an Anteater pet since we have a bunch of little ants coming in now that it is spring/summer. Hmmmm, I don't think we would fixing the problem, just creating another one. Hahaha!

Straw or glasses???

Thanks to all our relatives and friends that I sent postcards out to this past week, Isaac got a pair of glasses that really are a straw. (Don't worry, if you didn't get a postcard from my boys this year, you probably will next year! I try to spread the love. Hahaha!) The juice travels all around the eyes and over the ears and into the mouth. I don't really expect any of you to order magazines, Isaac just wanted the glasses and he got them just for returning the booklet filled out, I don't think he will get any further prizes for any orders. Of course, Emma and Ian had to try them on too and we had to take pictures! I just don't know how I am going to clean this things out! Great fun though!

Last Minute Trip to Happiland

Yesterday about 11am, Isaac's baseball coach called and let us know that they had cancelled both Isaac's game last night and the Chandler tournament this weekend because it would have looked more like water polo than baseball! Sooooo, in un-Stanfield fashion (my husband thrives on sticking to the plan), we packed up the kiddos and the turkey hunting gear and headed out yesterday afternoon for Haviland! YAY!!! Chris was going to be missing board meetings at Barclay College because of Isaac's games this weekend so there were lots of reasons to come this weekend!

Our friend, Paul, was able to come with us last minute too. Actually we rode here in his truck since the brakes on my expedition are making that nasty grinding sound that says they want to be replaced. I woke up this morning (early!) to the sound of turkey calls, thanks Dad, and found the "boys" all out on the front porch admiring Paul's turkey. Nothing like getting the job done and FAST! I think I saw him buying another turkey tag this morning! :)

Now I am hanging out at the house with my kiddos waiting for everyone to come home for lunch. Chris is attending board meetings this morning, Mom is working, Dad and Paul are running errands and Stacy and family will be here soon (hopefully) to help with lunch prep. I can't wait for this summer when I can add Marcy and Josh to that list of activities!!!! Josh has accepted the Youth Ministry Professor position here at Barclay College and they will get here sometime the first of July! I can't hardly wait!

Well, I'd better get started on lunch! God Bless!
